Collection: Ajrakh-Sarees

This ageless art of block printing is chiefly practiced by the Khatri community from Ajrakhpur (Gujrat). The fabrics here have seen the arduous printing processes artisans follow to bring the best of Ajrakh's stories to you.

The Khatri community, who lived on the banks of the Sindh River, practiced the Ajrakh craft (Indus in present-day Pakistan). These families migrated to Kutch from Sindh in the 16th century.
