Soof Embroidery

It literally translates to 'neat and clean'. Characterized by geometric patterns or leher patterns , this embroidery doesn't require motifs to be pre drawn. The artisan envisions a design and works on it by counting the warp and weft.  

The soof is done by the women of Sodha community in district Kutch, spread over 32 villages, but has its origins in Sindh.
